I recently spent a few days at Stadthotel Waldhorn, and I was pleasantly surprised by the numerous improvements since my visits a decade ago. The double glazing really stood out, creating a serene atmosphere; no more bell chimes disrupting my sleep! Breakfast was decent, though adding more cooked options like sausages and bacon would elevate it to a proper feast-something I always look for, especially after long days of exploration. Situated just a stone's throw from Kirchheim's charming town centre, the hotel is perfect for those eager to immerse themselves in the local culture and history, including the splendid half-timbered houses and picturesque markets. Our little group of archaeological enthusiasts thoroughly enjoyed the cozy dining atmosphere, especially when indulging in the Swabian cuisine from the wood-burning oven-it added a delightful rustic touch to our meals. While there were a few minor hiccups, like the reception being a small office rather than a bustling hub, Stadthotel Waldhorn definitely offers a unique blend of comfort and local charm, making it a solid choice for travelers seeking both relaxation and cultural immersion.
